Moisten Your Ears
A series of workshops and lectures I and Stephen van Dyck curated at Telic Arts Exchange. We aimed to demystify and derarify the process of building instruments, a job usually done either industrially, by a faceless series of machines, or remotely, by skilled artisans.
We led field-trips to junkyards and through neighborhoods to collect and recycle material, organized lectures to instruct participants in the acoustic and electronic production of sound, and held a final concert event to celebrate the culmination of the group's efforts.
